About the Artist

Art is a life long journey

The desire to paint touched Bianca in kindergarten where she painted abstract horses mistaken for bunnies. The desire never left through her journey to adulthood, though it was suppressed for a while. Then one day in a busy working mom's life, she found an art magazine in the driveway, blown in from someone else's recycling. Leafing through the colorful pages created an insatiable thirst to create art. She began drawing on the kids' lunch bags.

Carving out time from her husband and kids' schedules, she began taking classes with the art department at Santa Rosa Junior College after work and on the weekends. She read art magazines, visited museums and art galleries, attended workshops, and drew from life. After she retired county service, she began taking lessons from Wendy Brayton, and attended more workshops. She's painting more than ever but not enough. Bianca loves nature and animals and to bring a little of what she sees to life on canvases.

Bianca and her husband currently splits their time between Santa Rosa and Napa, bringing their dogs and cats with them.
